Just been busy with school. The worst class is my Japanese 101 but my teacher does have some funny anecdotes about his time in Japan. We are reading early japanese literature, so it's like the first stuff ever written in Japan, .. written in Chinese ... cause yeah ... that's what language they wrote in first.
Anyway we were talking about women in the Heian period etc. which was written in Kana, but yeah, so ... nvm nobody cares about that. anyway the teacher was talking about you know Genji Monogatari, there's this famous part where Genji finds this 11 year old girl and he sort of raises her to be his wife, maybe she was younger I'm not sure.
Anyway then he started talking about how there is still this sort of fascination with young girls in modern Japan, and I'm like yeah I watch anime so I see where this is going ha. And he told us about how he taught like 11-12 year olds and other teachers would come up to him and seriously ask him if he had any hotties in his class, he said literally they weren't joking. It was a normal thing for them to talk about any hot girls they had in their classes, but he was like, you know from America and he was like WTF. And I remember when I went I saw some of that. Like uhm, some of the girls, the first time I went some of the girls had like older guys they would text/email with which was really weird because one of the high school girls had this odd flirty email relatinoship with this older guy, like ... 14 year old girl, 50 year old guy. And nobody thought it was weird. And when we went out to eat with the mayor of the town and he asked if he could walk me home, the guardian people the people who were taking care of us were like, yeah you can let him walk you home and I was like wtf, and teh teacher from america who came with us was like wtf, we thought they were joking, but they weren't ... so now we know ... they've always like young girls.
anyway we were also talking about marriage customs and how Buddhism with its teaching that the world is suffering, as in being alive on this world is suffering, that's life, a very condensed Buddhist aesthetic, anyway, Japanese people take this in the sense of evanescence, like instead of things being sad, the quickly fading and suffering part of living makes things more beautiful, that things fade, like cherry blossoms, or love affairs, or young girls ... but he said when he was drinking with his friend it wasn't uncommon for men to say things like, i'm going to sleep with my wife for six weeks and then i'm going to have to go elsewhere for that need ... it's not uncommon to believe that you WILL as a fact become uninterested in your wife/husband. Which is semi interesting because we're talking about companionate love, versus social love in pride and prejudice, comparing marriage for social and economic reasons versus love for affection and compatibility, which reminded me of the Japanese thing.
Anywho ... that's what I'm up to. IN case anyone wanted to know ... lol, >.> Started watching Working!!, first episode was pretty good. my roommate made me this basil seed drink, which i'm going to try now ...

Inorite. Thanks for the wrap-up, shig.
@Asa
Like you said, at least its an interesting class. If I can go back 4 years, I'd pick an entirely different major full of classes I would enjoy then my attention span would last longer than 30 mins it took for me to take exams... Honestly, it sounds fun. I miss school. I feel like such a waste. I'm living my dream though... played about 100 games in the past 60 days. Win but lose all at the same time.

What major would you do?
I think the researched attention span of a college student is 7 minutes at the most before they stop actually listening ha. One of my teachers told us that, and he like tries to change up what he's doing every 7 minutes or so.

See, that's the trick for anything in the professional health field. As long as you get the pre-reqs for your choice of professional school, your major doesn't matter. I have met people with electrical engineering, music majors, English majors, who all took extra summer or an extra year, got their reqs and went on to med school. Dunno what I would've picked but anything that would've gotten me a high final gpa. Psych major maybe. Some ambitious confident bastards don't even need their bachelors and go once done with all reqs by sophomore year.
I too had a prof that changed pace of her lecture every 10 mins to reestablish her students attention. Some paychological bs from a pysch prof.

It's weird how much clearer everything is when you look back. I always hated math for that reason, that it always made me feel stupid about feeling stupid.

I think they look good, nice on my eyeballsies ... but I think the song sounds like a bad american song. Like a mixture of my milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, BANG by Afterschool, and maybe Pussycat dolls or Fergie when she went solo.
It also sounds a lot better in the korean english mix.

Dear Lord that was horrible, "muscle relaxant," "how do you persuade?" was basically answered by no persuading at all. And did that asian guy just get a really hot girl to make out with him?! Asian guys need to move to wherever those people are filming.
